Rob Bironas's 60-yard field goal in the dying seconds earned Tennessee a 20-17 victory over Indianapolis to keep the Colts waiting for a play-off berth.
The Colts were close to clinching their fourth straight AFC South title.
Meanwhile, Chicago Bears clinched the NFC North title with a 23-13 victory over Minnesota Vikings.
