New England were made to sweat by the New York Jets after racing into a 24-0 lead thanks to touchdowns from Corey Dillon, Laurence Maroney and Chad Jackson.
But touchdowns by Jerricho Cotchery and Laveranues Coles put the home side back in the game, and it was only a last-gasp interception by Tedy Bruschi that ended the comeback hopes to give the Patriots a 24-17 win.
