Jon Thaxton ended the brave challenge of Scott Lawton in seven rounds to retain his British lightweight title.
Stoke's Lawton kept Thaxton mostly at bay in the early rounds before the Norwich southpaw stepped up a gear.

He opened a bad cut on Lawton's nose at the start of the seventh, and ended the contest with another huge right hook.

I like Thaxton he's a good, honest fighter. Another decent performance by him. I'd love to see him test Khan out. I hope he gets the chance before he's over the hill. But knowing Warren :roll: .
