From sky sports
Floyd Mayweather became a five-weight world champion as he clinched a split points decision to beat Oscar De La Hoya to win the WBC light-middleweight title.
Mayweather took the fight 116-112 and 115-113 on two of the scorecards, with De La Hoya taking the other 115-113.
Mayweather seemed to sway the judges by his strong finish to the bout after De La Hoya had dominated the early stages.
However, the gloss was taken off the win after concerns were raised that the wrong verdict had been read out - with a mix-up over the colours on the final scorecard.
The confusion surrounded the card showing Mayweather incorrectly fighting out of the red corner - but officials confirmed the result was correct despite the error. |

| I watched the fight but found it to be a bit rubbish, think it got overhyped somewhat. |
