| Dont know if any of you lot caught it? but City just beat Utd in the derby! Heaping more misery on Utd and putting City at the top of the premiership. Was it me or was Taggert more Purple than usual at full time (after about 10 mins of injury time)? |

Quality goal as well, 30 yards out, came out of no-where!
Will city join the top 5 teams in the premiership this season?
Under Sven thats looking like a distinct possibilty.
...........How long till Sammy Lee gets sacked? I say 2 more games and he's gone. Unless he does a Martin Jol of course. |

Well done Manchester City, did very well under pressure and like Monkey Balls says, the goal was quality.
Sammy Lee, he was a bad choice, I think Gareth Southgate could run him close in being sacked as he is not a good choice as manager either.
Manchester City's day today though, top of the premier and they are the only team not to have let a goal in. They have also scored twice in a row at home. Something that they could not manage since New Years Day last season.
That team is also not the finished article yet. Wait till they are all properly match fit and have been playing togther for a few months and get those few extra players that Sven is looking for. They also have some great young talent comming through as well, and they are mainly English youngsters which bodes well for the team and the national side. One that sticks out is Micah Richards.
UEFA cup place for them ? that would be a fantastic achievement this season, I should think getting inside the top 10 is possibly a goal for them, anything else will be a bonus.
If they do get european football next season, they have the funds at their disposal to hopefully not let it effect their league form, as other clubs have found out. Aslo in Sven they have a manager who knows all about european football.
For the fans of Manchester City this must be such a welcome turn of events for them. A club with a huge and very loyal fan base that could be seeing the good times come back.
Plus it also makes for a better premiership, that the big four, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and my team Arsenal cannot no longer assume they are part of that exclusive group. There are teams out there with money to spend and they have good managers. Manchetser City, Aston Villa, Newcastle, Portsmouth, West Ham and, saying through gritted teeth, Tottenham. These teams are going to take points off of the "4" and maybe even swap places with 1 or 2 of them. |

Good post, I do hope the premier changes from being a 4 horse spectacle, in fact I like to see United in the championship. That would be funny, nearly as funny as this little clip of Taggart celebrating an imaginary goal, then realising United had missed. Dozy whiskey addeld, twisted old scrote.
