| Seeing I can't afford Sky for a couple of months, it's nice to finally get to see a game live on telly, come on England! (We'll probably lose, Mclaren is about as inspiring as a dead fish!) |

| I just hope Micah comes through without an injury. I can't help thinking that international friendlies are just an unnecessary irritation most of the time. |

So far he's playing a blinder, the lad is a joy to watch. Thing is with friendlies, try new options out and bring in returning players from injury.
Not England though, P Neville in the squad and Beckham on the pitch.
Come on get SWP down that wing with Micah behind him.
Why oh why is Robinson in goal and why is Beckham taking every set piece with the predicatble results and why does Robinson just hoof the ball up field, give it to a team mate you din ! |

| Well that was another crap and predictably uninspiring game. As good as James has been too, I can't understand the point of bringing him on in the second half while leaving Green out of the squad. Friendlies should be an opportunity to try out new players and Green is one for the future who could do with some experience while lets face it, James is hardly going to be featuring much if at all for England in the future. :? |

| Did'nt see the game so i cant comment on it (saw the last 5mins + highlights if you can call germany scoring against us a highlight)! But the final score certainly sucked! I cant help feeling Steve Mclaren would be better suited reading gas metres. |

England were predictably utter shite! Dissapointment and anger turning into a slow burning hatred is the standard emotional package that goes with supporting the national side these days it seems.
The only highlight i could see was a well taken strike from Lamps, and the re-emergence of Owen's hunger to score goals. Other than that it was a piss poor display against what should be our biggest enemy's 3rd team!
I really wanted to say that Beck's played well but he did'nt and as for Terry, Robinson, Cole and Smith, well forget it. WASTE OF FUCKING TIME!
It would seem that Roy Keane is right, footballers these days only care about the money and the lifestyle, there is no pride anymore, and if playing for your country cannot stir a little passion within you then you have no place pulling on the white jersey.
Sack McClaren, shoot Kieron Dyer, and bury Robinson at sea!
Well done to Northern Ireland and the Republic, showed us how it should be done! |

| i disagree i thought joe cole was our best player on the pitch, why did he sub him off for, stupid. beckham out, neville out, get owen going and it will be alright, would mclaren just have the balls to put some youngsters in for a change, and i dont mean stuart downing mclaren, hes shit too. use the friendlies to help you, not try what we already do, waste of time. |
