|
|
Well who do you reckon ? The mighty All Blacks the bookies favourites ?
France the inform and best northern hemisphere team who are also playing at home ? The big bruising battering machine that is South Africa ? Or the Australians, like the Germans in football, never write these guys off.
Or one of the outside bets ? Wales, Ireland, Scotland, England.
So who do you think then will be the 2007 champions. |

er.................wouild like to change my vote. The french were well and truly stuffed, although a very narrow points margin, the run of play was definately in argies favour.
Please god can they not be good at rugby as well now, it's bad enuff with the footy! |

At least it was good to see an upset,
the only thing that was heralded as an upset in the last world cup was when hosts and world number 3 Australia beat world number 2 New Zealand in the semi, every single other game went to form
Wales and Scotland were being described as 'magnificent' despite losing to the big guns, while the likes of Japan and Georiga also put in 'magnificent performances' despite getting stuffed
Any sport that you know the winner before kick off is a bit pointless really
those running the game dont seem to worry that its the same teams in the quarter finals every single world cup for the last 20 years and probably will be in 20 years time
contrast the lack of shocks to footballs world cup where the likes of Cameroon, Korea, Senegal can beat the very best on their day
so getting back to the original point - it was great to see a surprise result in rugby and the hard working Argies deserved it- France were terrible with their kicking and catching
I had them down as potential winners but i guess the pressure got to them
it now opens up the draw, if france dont win the group it means one of the semi fianlists wont be from the 'games superpowers' as argentina or ireland would face a quarter final against probably scotland or italy |

| Argentina have been constantly improving their Rugby over recent years. And the game is getting very popular as families can go to Rugby matches (unlike their football matches where you need flack jackets). They dont get as mutch international exposure as they are shunned by southern and northen hemisphere teams who see them as an emerging threat. I dont think they'll win the Cup but they will put some noses out of joint. |

| Well I can't see England retaining, they wern't exactly sharp against the USA. Think I might have to rule France out after that quality loss on Friday! New Zealand are always favorites and always seem to cock it up. I voted for the jammy Aussies. |

England are in a sorry mess, the first team not to score a point in this world cup after a 36-0 loss to the Springboks.
Coach Brian Ashton seemed so unconfident in his post match interview and he seemed to imply we'll struggle to beat Samoa - now that would be a humiliation.... |

That was truly a shocker!! Terrible, terrible performance and the lions looked more like kittens! As far as i can see Robinson was by far our best player, (nice bit of blood too!) and Corry played well, but his leadership
skills leave a lot to be desired.
Play like that again and Samoa will be laughing in their canoes! |

Corey is useless and should not even be there let alone playing. That was woeful, Sir Clive told the RFU what needed to be done after the last world cup, they ignored him, he resigned England have been buggered since.
Lions loooked like kittens ? the Lions were not playing, that only applies to the GB and Ireland team, Monkey. |

| Crap performance but South Africa are looking shit hot! I've changed my mind about the Aussies winning it, SA and NZ look on fire while the Aussies although picking up the win should really have done better against a piss poor Welsh side! |
