Well well well, who'd have thought it? Mourinho out of Chelsea!!
Very very foolish on the part of the Chelsea board to let him go, as much as i hate Chelsea, and i do, HATE Chelsea, that is a bad decision, and i feel sorry for all the supporters, cos lets face it they have won more silverware under Jose than they have under anyone in a long time.
The Mourinho/Abramovich/Kenyon relationship must have broken doen beyond all repair, and tensions over the Shevchenko debacle must not have been buried as was reported in the media. The alleged spat with "Mr Chelsea" John Terry probably did'nt help matters either.
I can't wait to see how many players leave the club in the next transfer window, i bags Lampard and Wright-Phillips for Pompey!!!
And to make matters worse they've now got our "unwanted" director of football Avram Grant stepping into the breach for the time being, (untill Gus Hidink takes the job of course.)
So where next for Jose?
Barcelona, Spurs, Real Madrid, Bolton, Scum?
Or will he just chill and think of how he's gonna spend the reported £25Million pay off. |

Farewell Special One, someone I simultanoeusly loved and hated, with the breathtaking arrogance not seen since Brian Clough, who backed up his big-headedness with results and trophies, capable of talking wit and wisdom but also capable of talking nonsense and behaving like a spoilt child, - English football will be so much poorer and less fun if he leaves these isles for good.
Spotted by Bobby Robson when he was his mere Portuguese interpreter, (who also worked a special needs classroom assistant!) his comments, insights and opinions were so valued by Robson he insisted he joined his coaching staff and the rest is history - hope for all us armchair and terrace pundits that an ordinary fan can actually succeed as a top manager.
Chelsea fans will be gutted their greatest ever manager has gone.
I remember Vialli won 4 cups for Chelsea but was still sacked after less than 2 years in the job.
Although i dont like what Abramovich has done, I can see some reasoning - after spending more money on one club than has ever been seen in the history of world football, the club failed to retain their title, never reached a champions league final (when meanwhile 3 English clubs did) and started this campaign slowly (last 3 results 0-2 villa, 0-0 rovers, 1-1 rosenburg)
Avram Grant? Not wanted by Redknapp or Jose when he was appointed director of football at Pompey then Chelsea. Thought highly of in the Jewish community after managing Israels unbeaten qualifying campaign for World Cup 2006 (they still didn't qualify....), it seems Russian Jews like Gaydamak at Pompey and Abramovic at the Bridge think he's the best thing since sliced bread. But beware, often 'top' coaches from smaller European nations struggle in the Premiership as the likes of Josef Venglos, Christian Gross and Vladimir Zajec have proved.
Will be very interesting to see what happens next............. |

| the thong is he is a good club manager, did it before he came to chelsea, but dont you reckon that if you had as much money to spend as him, came into a team he had when he joined, i reckon we all could have won something with chelsea. it was with porto where he was special. anyway, he is and still will be a great manager. |

Jose probably does wear a thong anyway, to go with that horrible girly rat on a string he's had deported back to Portugal. |

| The weird thing is that apparently Abramovich wasn't impressed with the football Chelsea were playing. But I've read that this guy Avram Grant has a reputation for dull football in his own country. It's all a bit baffling. |

There are no great teams that couldn't defend.
Newcastle under Keegan were marvellously entertaining but they never won anything. I remember he fielded Shearer, Asprilla, Ginola, Beardsley and Ferdinand for one game.
When Spurs gave the hotseat to Ossie Ardiles, he also played a 'famous five' up front - Sheringham, Klinsman, Barmby, Anderton and Dumitrescu - that season they scored more than rivals Arsenal, but finished 11 places lower than them in the league. Ozzie got the sack... |
