From BBC Sport
Floyd Mayweather outclassed Carlos Baldomir to win the WBC welterweight title in Las Vegas before announcing he plans to retire after one more fight.
Two of the three judges gave the 29-year-old Mayweather all 12 rounds, and the third awarded him 10.
"One more fight, then that's it for me," said an emotional Mayweather. "Every time I fight, it's blood, sweat, and tears because I love the sport.
The Michigan native could meet the legendary Oscar de la Hoya next year.
"I believe De la Hoya will want to fight me after tonight," said Mayweather, who cited wear and tear on his body and the desire to leave on top as the main reasons for his decision. |

| He's another who rarely does any more than he has to in order to win. It may make him one of the most succesful boxers ever. However how will he really be remembered? I'd say more for his arrogance than for the fights. Like it or not boxing is a blood and guts sport and he seems happy to coast to victory. It's easy for people like Colin Hart to say that fans should be happy to watch him outclass his opponent but in my view the aim is to get knock your opponent out. Mayweather made little or no effort to do so. I wish I'd gone to bed and am glad it was only ppv in the US because if I'd paid £15 to watch someone give half a performance I'd have been livid. |

He'll be remembered as one of the best pound for pound fighters and 4 weight world champ.
For me its hard to put him In the bracket of pound for pound greats like Roy Jones Junior, Marvin Hagler, Tommy Hearns etc
He did ponce around on sat but he managed to break his hand, maybe when he was sat down between rounds fiddling with his gloves.
37 wins and 24 by way of KO |
