|
From BBC Sport
Gavin Rees is in line to face Amir Khan in September.
Rees, 27, lost the first defence of his WBA light-welterweight title to Andreas Kotelnik in Cardiff in March.
But he is on a shortlist to take on Olympic silver medalist Khan, 21, for the Bolton man's Commonwealth lightweight title.
An official announcement of Khan's opponent is expected on Tuesday. |

| Khan's going in with Gomez which seems a bit of a retrograde step for Khan to be honest but I don't begrudge Gomez. That fight against Arthur will live long in the memory. Of course the chances of him doing it again against Khan are very slim indeed, almost negligible, but he'll have a go. A City fan as well. |

Yes bit of a backward step, mind you that Gomez can scrap, he's no mug.
Would like to see Khan take on some one like Yuri Romanov, Michael Katsidis, or before that take out John Thaxton, put him to bed so to speak. |
