|
|
Credit to Albert Rybacki, he took the fight late and took some tremedous shots off of Froch but did not go down, many other fighters would have been KO'd by that viscious upper cut by Froch.
From BBC Sport
British super-middleweight champion Carl Froch stretched his unbeaten run to 23 fights as he comfortably beat Albert Rybacki inside four rounds.
The Briton dominated from the start against his Polish opponent who seemed content on soaking up the punishment.
Frock's timing, range of shots and power were clearly superior against the outclassed Pole and he landed powerful shots at will.
The fight was stopped in the fourth to spare Rybacki further punishment. |

Watched this one. Got to admit Froch's stance with his arms held low seems to make him look very vulnerable. I wasn't too impressed with the Polish guy to be honest and I wonder whether a better fighter could have caught Froch out. _________________

Froch needs to work on that stance, but fucking hell, that Pole was fucking rock ! You could have twatted him with a lump of 4 by 2 and he'd would have still stood there.
There are not many fighters who would still be standing after one of those Froch bombs, even the patter cake man Joe Crapazage would have gone down faster than his mate Enzo Macracrappi, if he'd been on the receiving end of that uppercut.
Froch has to step up now, try and get some proper fights and try not to avoid people like the so called "Greatest Super middle weight of all time ever" spent his carear doing. |

Calzaghe is at least fighting some names now Throbby. A bit too late but nevertheless. Hatton's gone back to fighting bums.
As for Froch, I like him. He tries to give watching punters their monies worth which is a good quality in a boxer that far too few of them seem to have these days. Though it might also be his undoing along with the low hands. I hope he goes all the way first though, he's an arrogant bastard but he does have something to be arrogant about, he can punch, box and he's normally entertaining. |

Agree with Gavin, Froch does come across as an arogant sod. Hope he does well though.
In Throbby's defence, Calzaghe is fighting good fighters now, only it is 10 years too late, he should have pressed earlier to fight Hopkins, who I think he would have beat at any time in his careaer. However even 5 years ago Roy Jones Jnr would have taken him (Calzaghe) to school, but not now, its a pointless fight. |

| Yes, Calzaghe should have tried harder for the big fights earlier but better late than never. |

Better late than never, not for me, he ducked and dived the biggies, and you cannot believe the bullshit from the ginger spiv that is his manager/agent.
If he had have fought Jones Jnr, Toney et al, back when he should have, he would not be fighting now.
In his defence he took Kessler apart, slapped Manfredo Jnr like a girl and gave Jeff Lacey such a torrid time, that Lacey has not recovered from that beating still. He could hang rang, fight Carl Froch, Edison Miranda or Allan Green, Sakio Bika could also give him a hard time again at Super Middle or possibly Jean Paul Mendy.
At Light heavy, looks like Jones Jnr, hopefully he'll get it on with Tarver and maybe Johnson as well. |
